Principal Network Reliability Engineer

Your role in helping us shape the future: As a leading contributor, Intelsat's Principal Network Reliability Engineer will be at the forefront of shaping Development Network Operations practices aimed at enhancing networkinfrastructure and service delivery through an evolving Network Reliability Engineering discipline. You will be part of a team responsible for design, requirements analysis, architecture, development, evaluation, prototype demonstration, production implementation, and technical documentation within this area of Network Engineering. The position maintains a balanced set of skills in networks and systems, with focus on automation and programmability. As a core tenant, you will develop network automation and orchestration strategies that will supportnetworkarchitecture, service provisioning, infrastructure deployment, and operations.   Are you up to the challenge? oLead the design, implementation, and support of network automation and orchestration solutions. Deploy and maintain the software and applications required for those solutions across the IntelsatOne networkinfrastructure and its services. oAnalyze day-to-day tasks performed by Network Engineering teams and demonstrate how they can be improved by automation and/or programmability with emphasis on facilitating faster, more reliable deployment of infrastructure and delivery of services. oTreat the network as code and adopt a culture of continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous response with extensive, well-defined pipelines. oPractice "management-by-metrics" where analytics and deep-learning through rigorous data collection are imperative; define metrics (KPI's) and implement subsequent Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for measuring network reliability. oRepresent the department always, as a technical SME; build a feedback loop between various cross-functional teams within Network Engineering to identify, quantify, and address networkrisks. Work closely with Finance, Engineering, and other departments to ensure the profitability of all project design. oProvide proactive leadership to mentor and coach guidance to all team members.   Can you drive these processes? Network Automation; Network Orchestration; Network Programmability; Network-as-Code; Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP); SDN Controllers; Capacity Management Systems; Network Functions Virtualization (NFV); Service Level Agreements (SLA's)   You should definitely have: oA Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline with at least five (5) years of network and/or systems experience (or an equivalent amount of education and work experience). oSubject matter expertise in IP Network Administration or Systems Administration, with a secondary discipline of either IP Network Administration, Systems Administration, or Application Deployment. oIntermediate to expert level understanding and/or implementation of networkarchitectures, best practices, and protocols such as; IPv4, IPv6, IS-IS, OSPF, MP-BGP, LDP, RSVP-TE, HSRP, VRRP, and STP. oExperience with reading and manipulating modeling, data serialization, and encoding formats such as YANG, YAML, JSON, and XML, respectively, with an understanding of underlying structures and their performance. oExperience in reading, dissecting, and consuming Application Programming Interfaces (API's) in a RESTful architecture. oExperience with high-level programming and/or scripting in Python, Go, and/or Shell, respectively, with emphasis on using network and/or data communication libraries to accomplish network automation and programmability tasks. oExperience with IT automation tools such as Ansible. oExperience working with IP network performance technologies and solutions to deliver Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and optimize networkinfrastructures. oExcellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills oAbility to analyze complex situations, utilize creative problem-solving abilities, and efficiently interact with peers.   It would be nice if you had: oProfessional/Expert level network certifications such as the CCNP or CCIE. oProfessional/Expert level Linux certifications such as the LFCS or LFCE. oExperience with Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO). oExperience with using virtualization and/or containers to scale compute, network, and application resources. oStrong knowledge of software implementation and/or application deployment methodologies, practices, concepts, and solutions. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
